Richard Marx is a hero. Chachi is not.

Remember Richard Marx?

The Grammy award winning, multi-platinum pop star from the late 1980’s and early 1990’s?

He’s still making music today. Also writing a memoir that publishes this summer.

But more importantly, did you know that he’s also a social justice warrior on Twitter, using a humor and wit to stand in opposition to authoritarianism, bigotry, and the policies of former social media influencer Donald Trump?

While many celebrities prefer to avoid politics lest they anger fans and cost themselves sales from the left or right, Marx is not afraid to make his political positions known and often engages with Trump sycophants and the MAGA mob in amusing ways.

The tweets below are a tiny sampling of his regular banter.

It’s a crazy world, isn’t it?

Just imagine if I told you back in the 1980’s that Richard Marx would one day be defending America against tyranny while Scott Baio of Happy Days would be proudly standing alongside racists, seditionists, and a twice-impeached former President.

I’d show you some of Baio’s tweets, but I don’t like to amplify bigotry. Also, he’s blocked me on Twitter.

All of this should be ample proof that there really is no predicting the future.
