Charlie made a movie.
Not surprising – since he and I talk storytelling a lot – it has all of the components of a well crafted story:
- A clear, identifiable location
- A protagonist facing a considerable obstacle
- Absence of unnecessary, self serving, storying-killing discourse
- A lean, clean plot
- Suspense
- Humor
- A dash of cognitive dissonance
- A singular moment at the end of the story that says it all
- Operantly metaphorical
I’ve only watched it about 100 times.
Granted, I love the actor more than most.
