How to be uninteresting with fruits and vegetables

Did you know that watermelon is considered a fruit but also a vegetable since it belongs to the gourd family?

Did you also know that people who insist on proliferating this type of fruit/vegetable classification information are probably some of the most boring people on the planet?

This is the best thing you have to talk about?
Fruit and vegetable taxonomy?
Of all the things you could’ve said, you chose this?

And yes, we also know that a tomato is actually a fruit. You and your uninteresting, pedantic, soulless brethren have already made this abundantly clear.

We just don’t give a damn.

I’m glad you qualified that second sentence with a "probably." Just because you’re not interested in fruit & vegetable classification doesn’t mean no one else is. 🙂 As a former biology major, I’m interested in pomology, olericulture, and other types of botany. As a future librarian, I’m interested in classification schemes. Why don’t you send the taxonomists my way & I’ll happily talk to them so you don’t have to? Sincerely, a person whose plant scientist friends are some of the most interesting people she knows.
