Shivering or sweaty

Have you noticed that when dressed for formal occasions, women wear less clothing than at almost any other time in their lives, despite the fact that they are always cold?
And that men wear more clothing than on any other occasion, even though most of us are always a little warm?

It makes no sense.

I think the Scots had it right.
