She’d rather be dating a Muppet

The Daily Mail published a report that claimed Krakowski – the brilliant comedic actor – and Mike Lindell – the scumbag Trump sycophant who hocks his My Pillows on conservative news programs – “had a secret nine-month romance” that ended in the summer of 2020.

The British newspaper alleged that the pair “were regularly seen in each other’s company” in New York City and The Hamptons after meeting on the set of an undisclosed TV show.

This is the kind of accusation that would cause most people to throw up a little in their mouth.

Mike Lindell? The guy who entered the White House following the insurrection at the Capitol with notes that included references to martial law and invoking the Insurrection Act?

Mike Lindell? The guy who ran false ads that claiming his pillows helping with snoring, fibromyalgia, migraines and other medical conditions and settled for millions of dollar out of court?

Mike Lindell, who major companies like Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Wayfair, and Kohl’s have stopped doing business with as a result of his support of Donald Trump?

Mike Lindell, who paid for the bail of Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse?

Mike Lindell, who promoted fake cures for COVID-19 last spring by hyping products made by companies in which he held a financial stake?

Mike Lindell, who in multiple tweets and statements following Trump’s election loss, called for some voters in Georgia who collectively voted against Trump to be imprisoned and for Trump to impose “martial law” in seven swing states?

Yes, that scumbag.

The idea that a sycophant grifter like Mike Lindell and Jane Krakowski would be together is insane.

But here’s the great part:

Krakowski could’ve just denied the report. Issued a statement saying The Daily Mail was wrong. Moved on.

Instead, she took advantage of the situation. Exploited the opportunity. Chose to be funny and remain on brand.

Her response, issued through her publicist:

“Jane has never met Mr. Lindell. She is not and has never been in any relationship with him, romantic or otherwise,” the 30 Rock alum’s rep said in a statement to Us Weekly on Friday, January 22. “She is, however, in full-fledged fantasy relationships with Brad Pitt, Regé-Jean Page and Kermit the Frog and welcomes any and all coverage on those.”

She makes the point exceedingly clear that she and Mike Lindell were never together. In fact, a relationship with a puppet is more likely. And she is very funny in the process.

Clever, level-headed, thoughtful people take advantage of situations like these and turn them to their own advantage.

Politicians are said to “never let a crisis go to waste.”

Jane Krakowski understands that concept well and came out looking great.
