A new survey found a significant difference in the perception of appropriate office attire between people aged 18 to 45 and those 45 and older.
For men, jeans are one point of division:
81 percent of the younger cohort thinks they’re acceptable
65 percent of the older cohort does
T-shirts are even more polarizing:
73 percent of respondents aged 18 to 45 think they are acceptable
39 percent of those aged 45 and up do
My question:
If jeans and a T-shirt aren’t appropriate for casual Friday, what the hell is?
Khakis and a polo?
And why bother having casual Fridays at all if you can’t wear jeans and a T-shirt?
