Please don’t forget the adulterers

Protip:

If you’re using The Bible to justify your opposition to same sex marriage, please don’t forget to treat all adulterers EXACTLY the same way.

God makes it abundantly clear that both are equally bad.

If you’re reading your Bible — Leviticus 20:10 — then you know God commands you to execute anyone who has cheated on his or her spouse.

In fact, both parties must be killed.

Happily, God didn’t weigh in on the method of execution for this particular sin, so no need to gather stones to kill someone working on Sunday or look up the meaning of the word “smite” in the dictionary.

The method by which you murder every adulterer you ever meet has been left to your own discretion.

Given that approximately 20-25% of married individuals report engaging in sexual infidelity at some point, with some estimates ranging from 30% to over 50% depending on the study and definition of cheating, you’ll have lots of opportunity for killing, so maybe mix it up.

Get creative.
Take inspiration from the “Friday the 13th” films.
Make a BINGO board.
Brainstorm with friends or even ChatGPT.

Or, since you’re probably ignoring that rather inconvenient passage of the Bible about adultery (and the one about stoning people to death who work on Sunday), maybe ignore the bigoted one about same sex marriage, too.
