I have a real problem with America’s classic song “Horse With No Name.”
Why not give the damn horse a name?
What kind of monster rides into the desert for nine days and never bothers to name his only companion?
Horses are incredible. I grew up on the back of a horse until my parents divorced. They are beautiful, kind, majestic animals. Horses have high IQs, excellent memories, strong emotional intelligence, and form strong social connections with the people and animals around them.
It would be stupid and cruel not to name your horse.
It’s ridiculous to even think of such a thing.
I despise the protagonist in this song. He’s a selfish fool.
